Not all that much happening with the kids. Jack is a man on the move but not quite walking. He will take some steps on his own if you put him out a few feet in front of you but once he get close to you, then he just hurls himself towards you. Very funny. I think his first word is "shoe" although he refuses to say it in front of Chad. I think that he is also saying "no" but it is so random, it is hard to confirm he is actually saying no. I know that he is saying shoe because he does it while playing with his shoes or Chad's shoes. He loves getting into cupboards. Hailey was rarely into cupboards. Once Hailey saw that one cupboard was locked, then she figured that all were. Jack on the other had opens everything he can get into. Little stinker!
Hailey had completed part three of her three-part plan to be eco-friendly this summer. (See pict. below) She pulled up a bunch of her carrots tonight - peas and radishes earlier this summer. She was very excited to have them for her bedtime snack. Hailey is also very up on recycling. She knows about recycling bottles so we can make new ones and "don't waste them in the garbage". She also know that we don't recycle the pop cans on Friday because we give them to Grandma and Grandpa because they recycle them for money. Hailey states that this is due to the fact we don't have time to do that for money because we are too busy taking care of her and Jack. It is so adorable to hear her tell you the story.
Chad,Hailey and I are having a special MN State Fair day together. Jack will be staying back at daycare. Then it is up north for a few days. Next week will be interesting with the RNC in the Twin Cities but I am hoping that most of the action stays over in St. Paul and doesn't mess up my work commute to downtown Minneapolis. Have a great weekend everyone.
