Well, back to the grind today after a 4-day vacation in Las Vegas. Stayed at the Bellagio - I love that place. They had a beautiful tulip display in the arboretum. We gambled - meaning I won back all the money Chad lost, shopped, lounged by the pool, took a nap(s), slept in, stayed out late, wandered other casinos, saw a show and ate too much. That about says it all. It was a great anniversary getaway. Thanks to mom for giving us the time away by staying with the kids. Just think, 10 years ago tomorrow night, a lot of you had waaaayyyyyyy to much to drink (including me in the limo), dad was telling a dad-like joke at the microphone before dinner and Chad and I had a heck of a good time dancing. And apparently the post reception party....well... we'll just leave some of you to fondly recall those memories and your hangovers. You know who you are.
Had kindergarten orientation tonight. Hailey was very excited. We got a bus ride, visited the media center, the music room, and 2 of the kindergarten rooms to learn what we do during the day. Hailey was so well-behaved and excited. Let me tell you that there were some kids that were opposite of well-behaved and it was interesting to watch how some parents are just oblivious to how bad their kids are. I think school will be an education for both Hailey and us. Thanks to Erin for watching Jack for us. Going to get some kids time in this weekend and hopefully get the sprinkler system up and running. The yard needs some water and TLC.
